# HANDOFF — Summit Break montage (updated 6 July 2026, evening)

## Latest (this session)
- **Signpost text now IN the beads** (6 Jul late evening): `collage-options/signpost.png` regenerated
  (nano-banana/edit → birefnet/v2) with red seed-bead lettering AGM / TEAM / XMAS woven into the
  sign boards (user picked the full TEAM BUILD text; shortened-TEAM alternate →
  `_originals/signpost-team-alt.png`, old blank art → `_originals/signpost-blank.png`).
  HTML: `.signlabel` overlays + CSS removed, `signpost()` takes no arg, divider `active` props
  dropped. Verified headless on title + AGM divider.
- **Christmas party section ADDED** at user's request: all 116 photos from
  `agm-2025/2025-11-ChristmasParty/` now play at the END of the deck (frames 1–91 unchanged, so
  earlier review callouts stay valid). Frame map: 92 = christmas divider, 93–208 = photos in
  chronological order (album-only `agm-2025-*` shots slotted between full-res IMG neighbours per
  DEDUP-AND-INVENTORY.md mapping). EXIF: party was 23 Nov 2025.
- **Christmas beaded sprites generated** (nano-banana → nano-banana/edit for frame B →
  birefnet/v2 background removal, via genmedia CLI): `collage-options/xmas-tree-a/b.png`
  (twinkle pair), `xmas-reindeer-a/b.png` + `xmas-santa-a/b.png` (2-frame walkers, face right).
  Wired into `pools.xmas`; tree also replaces signpost art on the christmas divider (`entry.art`),
  divider kicker overridable per entry (`entry.kicker`, christmas = "Year-End '25").
- **New review aid**: `?start=N` URL param jumps to original frame N (e.g. `?start=92`).
- Raw pre-cutout PNGs + fal CDN URLs are in this session's scratchpad (temporary).
- **Jill sharing (6 Jul evening)**: `tailscale funnel --bg 8123` is LIVE →
  https://richards-macbook-pro.greyhound-paradise.ts.net/summit-montage.html (Mac must stay awake;
  disable with `tailscale funnel --https=443 off`). GitHub repo DEFERRED by user; when created:
  private under richardhowes, Christmas photos go in downscaled to 4K (originals stay on disk/Drive),
  gitignore HANDOFF.md (ChristmasParty folder is now USED by deck — do NOT gitignore it wholesale).
- Review state: DELETE watermarks on frames 14, 28, 34, 43, 105, 106, 115, 190 (`DELETE_FRAMES`);
  frame 120 (team photo) plays LAST via `MOVE_TO_END`; tags now AGM / TEAM BUILDING / CHRISTMAS;
  dividers stripped to title-only (AGM / TEAM BUILDING / CHRISTMAS; "In Between" kept sub, no kicker);
  title slide date line removed. Sprite fixes: rover wheels aligned + mirror spin, plane mirror
  (scaleY under offset-rotate), giraffe-b regenerated with proper stride (old one in _originals).

## Task
Ambient photo-montage presentation (`summit-montage.html`) for ResRequest's July 2025 "Summit Break"
(AGM + Cluedo teambuild), with beaded-figure animated accents. In **user review** (Richard calls out
frame numbers to change/remove). New thread: setting up **collaboration with Jill** (his wife,
jillb@resrequest.co.za, visuals expert, also uses Claude Code) so she can test and tweak the deck.

## Branch/instance
Not a git repo (yet — repo creation is the agreed next step). Preview: `python3 -m http.server 8123`
(may still be running; file:// also works — deck is fully self-contained incl. fonts).
**QA note:** this session verified via the puppeteer MCP server, but it was REMOVED from global config
on 6 Jul 2026 — next session use `codex-computer-use` skill for browser checks (see ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md).
Backgrounded Chrome tabs stop painting → black screenshots; keep headless or foreground.

## Done (verified via headless screenshots, 6 Jul 2026)
- **Photos reorganised, people-only**: `agm-2025/` = `2025-07-24-AGM/` (30), `2025-07-25-Teambuild/` (29),
  `2025-07-25-Teambuild-Extras/` (28, ex-"2025-07-31-Extras" — EXIF proved all shot 25 Jul, Jill's phone
  sweep; red dresses are Cluedo costumes NOT Christmas), `2025-11-ChristmasParty/` (116, NOT in deck),
  `_no-people/` (IMG_9305 board, IMG_5572 cake). Drive "Other Photos" share fully retrieved (29/29;
  2 videos skipped). Details: `agm-2025/DEDUP-AND-INVENTORY.md`.
- **Review kit** (top of `<script>`): `SHOW_FRAME_NUMBERS = true` (badge "frame N / 91" bottom-right),
  `REVIEW_SPEED = 2`, `CUT_FRAMES = [23]` (cuts by ORIGINAL frame number; numbering keeps gaps).
- **Layout**: RESREQUEST top-left, THE JOURNEY top-right; event name only bottom-centre; dates removed.
- **Brand fonts** (per resrequest.com): Lato Light (italic) headings, Open Sans labels; local `fonts/`.
- **Balloon accent**: now rises from below bottom edge hugging screen edge (4vw/90vw, alternating),
  fades at top — was crossing faces horizontally (frames 15–16).
- Frame 23 (agm-21.jpg) cut.
- **Collaboration plan advised & agreed direction** (not yet executed): git-based, NOT shared-server
  editing. Jill's rr laptop should NOT join the personal tailnet (her concern is valid); plan = rr gets
  its own tailnet (Google SSO on resrequest.co.za — she uses existing work account, identity-only OAuth),
  Proxmox dev VM shared cross-tailnet via Tailscale node sharing OR lives on rr tailnet as the
  auto-pull preview host. For montage NOW she needs no Tailscale: `tailscale funnel 8123` or git clone.

## Next
1. **Set up sharing for Jill** (user hasn't confirmed which): a) `git init` + private repo in a shared
   GitHub org / GitLab group; gitignore `2025-11-ChristmasParty/` (~700MB full-res, unused by deck, from
   her Drive anyway) + `HANDOFF.md`; b) optionally split summit-montage.html → index.html/styles.css/
   montage.js (no build step) so two people can edit without conflicts — offered, not confirmed;
   c) `tailscale funnel 8123` for instant view-only testing.
2. Continue review: user names frames → add to `CUT_FRAMES` or edit. Frame map: 1 title, 2 divider,
   3–32 agm-01..30, 33 divider, 34–62 teambuild-01..29, 63 divider, 64–91 Extras IMG_92xx (`ex` array
   order; IMG_9305 excluded), 92 christmas divider, 93–208 christmas (`xmas` array order).
   NOTE: christmas photos are uncurated (all 116, ~14 min at full speed) — expect heavy cuts;
   Jill may still want to curate.
3. When review done (user must say so): `SHOW_FRAME_NUMBERS = false`, `REVIEW_SPEED = 1` (user explicitly
   wants both reverted). Cuts stay.
4. Unactioned offers: delete `collage-options/_review-newcast/`; clean Drive ZIPs in `~/Downloads`;
   ChristmasParty deck section after Jill curates that folder.

## Gotchas
- Read-before-edit hook: Read `summit-montage.html` before Edit each fresh session.
- Deck built as `deckFull` → `e.frame` stamped → filtered to `deck` via CUT_FRAMES; badge shows
  `entry.frame / deckFull.length` (gaps intended).
- rr formal work stays GitLab MR flow; stacked branches only when truly dependent (advice given 6 Jul).
- fal.ai via `genmedia` CLI (auth done); fal-ai MCP removed — don't look for `mcp__fal-ai__*`.
- agm-2025 JPGs have EXIF stripped; original HEICs in `~/Downloads/drive-download-20260705T203124Z-3-001.zip`.
- HANDOFF.md is untracked scratch state — when the repo is created, add it to .gitignore; never commit it.
